शोध एवं अनुवाद परियोजनाएँ

Ninety-day research projects open to scholars of any age, and projects to translate important philosophical texts from Indian languages into Hindi and English.

Short Duration Projects are awarded for a period of ninety days to scholars in philosophy and allied disciplines irrespective of their age and status, to enable them to engage in research on a whole-time basis. The Council invites applications for project grants throughout the year.

Translation projects

India is a country of many languages; besides Hindi and English there are twenty recognised regional languages in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution, and most of them are treasure troves of philosophical texts. ICPR invites proposals to translate such texts into Hindi or English, including:

  1. Nyāya Darśan (in Bangla, 4 volumes) by Phanibhushan Tarkavagish
  2. Bange Navya Charcha (in Bangla) by Dinesh Chandra Bhattacharya
  3. Vaibhāvikadarśanam by Anant Kumar Tarkatirtha Bhattacharya
  4. Other important works on philosophy in Indian languages
