Alongside the headquarters in Delhi, the Council built an Academic Centre with a library in philosophy. At the initiative of Shri C.P.N. Singh, then Governor of Uttar Pradesh, the Centre was housed at Butler Palace, Lucknow, and began functioning in 1983 with Professor T.K. Sarkar as Director. In 2006, following a Supreme Court judgment, the Centre moved out of Butler Palace.
Today the Centre runs workshops, refresher courses and study circles, and its library serves readers from Lucknow and outside.
